School Meals

“The school’s Healthy Eating and Activemark awards underline pupils’ appreciation of the need for a healthy lifestyle.” – Ofsted report June 2011

The school lunchtime is from 12.15pm-1.15pm (12.00-1.00pm for Reception children). Tasty and nutritious school meals are provided by Caterlink, who employ a school cook and an assistant in the kitchen. There are always vegetarian options available and meals are supplemented by fresh vegetables and fruit, as well as freshly baked  bread. The cooked meals cost £2.28.

The Summer term 2017 menu is available to view here.

Your child will be asked during registration each morning whether they would like a cooked meal and which meal option they would like.

Payment for school meals should be made in advance via the ParentPay website.

To go to the ParentPay website please click www.parentpay.com

Alternatively, children can bring their own packed lunches, which should contain a drink. Please ensure that packed lunches do not contain nuts or nut products, as some children in school have severe allergies. Sweets, including chocolate bars and fizzy drinks are not allowed, in line with our Healthy Eating Policy.

During lunch times, pupils are supervised by a Lead Lunchtime Supervisor, supported by a team of 7 Lunchtime Supervisors, one per class.

Free School Meals

Pupils may receive free school meals if their parent(s) are in receipt of Family Income Support, Income-based Job Seekers Allowance or Child Tax Credit. Should you wish to make an application please click here

Parents are encouraged to apply for free school meals, even if you prefer your child to have a packed lunch, as this attracts valuable additional funding for the school.

If you have any queries regarding the process of applying, please contact the free school meals team by email on pupilbenefits@gloucestershire.gov.uk or by telephone on 01452 425390.
