Official opening of our new playground

To mark the 50th anniversary of the current Rosary School building some new playground equipment was installed over the Summer holiday and the upper playground was painted and new  'goals' installed to create a multi-use games area.

On Monday 4th September, the first day of the 2017-18 school year, a special visitor came to speak to the children in assembly. This was Roger Turner, who worked for Falconer's architect's office in Stroud, responsible for designing the school building, which was completed in 1967. Mr Turner was pleased to come back and see the school in action. He told the children how a student teacher inspired him to become an architect when he was at primary school when she took the class out to look at different buildings in Stroud. After assembly, he officially opened the playground in front of the excited children, who were all very keen to try it out at playtime! Take a look at the photos below to see how the playground has been transformed.
