Anti-bullying Week

Next week (6th -10th November), we will be looking at the issue of bullying. This an annual opportunity to remind everyone in our school community of what bullying is, how it can affect those involved and how to prevent or tackle bullying when/if it happens within or outside of school.

On Wednesday 8th November a theatre group will present two workshops on bullying, called "The Power of One". There will one for Infants and Y3 at 9.15am and one for Y4-Y6 pupils at 10.05am. If parents/carers are interested and would like to see the performances, then they are welcome to stay after dropping off their children, or come back.

Parents/carers are also invited to a 'breakfast meeting' from 8.30am on Thursday 9th November. Mrs Matarazzo, Pastoral Worker, Mrs Liber, SEN Manager and Mrs Savory will be keen to hear your views on our draft Anti-bullying Policy and the Behaviour Policy, which are currently under review. You can read the DRAFT Anti-bullying Policy by clicking here.  The DRAFT Behaviour Policy can be read by clicking here.

On Friday 10th November, our Achievement Assembly will include a brief presentation from each class on their learning about bullying during the week. Parents are welcome to attend.

YR Class recommend the following books:-

Be Gentle by Virginia Miller

This is Our House by Michael Rosen

Little Princess Stories I Want a Friend! by Tony Ross
