Teacher: Miss Gittins

PPA teacher: Mrs Phillips (Fridays)

Teaching Assistants: Mrs Humphery and Mr Phillips

It is the summer term! I am gobsmacked at how fast this year has gone!

Our topic this term will have this lovely bunch investigating the rainforests of this world from a variety of angles and across many subjects, from art to English. I know the children enjoyed researching the animals, plants, fish and birds that live there, which really highlights how fascinating the rainforests can be. I am especially eager to teach the children about deforestation and sustainabilty. Shockingly, according to some sources, the rainforests are being destroyed at such a rate that they could be gone in 100 years.

Please see the topic web for more information. Tropical rainforest topic web

The new homework policy asks that children in year 4 read 4 times a week, as well as practising weekly spellings and times tables. For the extra homework (that will of course benefit their learning about our topic) please click here. Many of these homework tasks should be FUNTropical rainforest homework
